Welcome to our program! We specialize in supporting families with children under 1st grade, helping to prepare them for the exciting journey of formal schooling. Our cohort-based approach fosters a nurturing environment where children can thrive and understand essential Jewish traditions and knowledge. Join us as we embark on this important educational adventure together!
Grade School
We guide students through the rich traditions of Hebrew language and prayers. They will gain a profound understanding of the Torah and the significance of our holidays. Our goal is to nurture their spiritual growth and connection to their heritage in a warm and supportive environment.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah
At our reform synagogue, we celebrate the important milestone of Bar and Bat Mitzvah with an egalitarian approach. Both boys and girls embrace this rite of passage at the age of 13, guided by our dedicated rabbi. Together with families, we strive to create a meaningful and positive growth experience for each young person, fostering their personal and spiritual development within our community.
Confirmation
At TBS, we believe that the journey of learning in is a lifelong pursuit. Following their Bar/Bat Mitzvah, students delve deeper into important topics such as the Holocaust and comparative religions. They are then guided by the insightful teachings of Rabbi Stern during their year of Confirmation. There is no definitive endpoint to this educational path; students are encouraged explore and grow as far as their dedication allows.
